FAQs

Get answers to your most common questions about our snowmobile safaris and booking process.

How do I book?

You can easily book your safari or rental by filling out our contact form on the website. If you’re already in Levi, feel free to stop by our office—we’d be happy to help you book in person!

Our rental prices include proper riding gear (warm high-top winter boots, a riding suit, gloves, a helmet liner, and a driving helmet) for two persons, a map, riding instructions, and insurance.

Rental price does not include fuel.

The snowmobiles are insured. However, please note that the insurance comes with an excess, which is the maximum amount you would be liable to pay in case of damage. The excess is 1500€ on 900cc snowmobiles and 1200€ on 600cc snowmobiles.

Snowmobile rentals start from a minimum of two hours. During busy times, we kindly ask you to estimate how long you’ll need the rental. But don’t worry—you won’t have to keep a strict eye on the clock. If you’re slightly off your estimate, it’s no problem! We charge based on the actual rental duration.

Please note: All rentals must be picked up and returned within our opening hours. Overnight rentals are not available.

We’re excited to have you join us for a snowmobile safari! To make the most of your adventure and ensure your safety and comfort, here are some important guidelines to keep in mind

  1. Driving License: If you are driving a snowmobile, make sure to bring a valid full driving license for a car, as it is required by law.
  2. Alcohol Policy: Remember that there is zero tolerance for alcohol, so please refrain from consuming any alcohol before or during the safari.
  3. Medical Conditions: Inform the staff about any medical treatments or health conditions you may have so that they can take necessary precautions for your safety.
  4. Appropriate Clothing:
    • Underlayer: Wear long thermal underwear and thermal socks under woolen socks.
    • Midlayer: Choose comfortable trousers and high-collar shirts made from materials like cotton, fleece, or wool.
    • Provided Gear: Perhesafarit will provide you with a snowmobile overall, shoes, mittens, a balaclava, and a helmet. If temperatures drop below -20°C, you can wear your outdoor clothes underneath the provided snowmobile overall.
  5. Children’s Safety: If you have children joining, remember that children under 3 years old are not allowed to participate. Those under 140 cm in height cannot ride on the snowmobile and will be placed in a heated, covered pod pulled by the guide.
  6. Glasses and Contacts: If you wear glasses, consider using contact lenses if possible, as glasses can easily steam up in the cold weather.
  7. Physical Condition: Snowmobiling can be physically demanding. If you have any issues with your back, spine, joints, vision, or other physical conditions, consult with the staff before participating. Pregnant individuals are not allowed on the safari due to safety concerns.

Every snowmobile safari includes a professional guide who will ensure your safety and provide instructions throughout the experience. You will also be provided with all necessary equipment, including a snowmobile overall, shoes, helmet, balaclava, and mittens to keep you warm and protected. Each participant will have access to a well-maintained snowmobile, and the cost of fuel is fully covered as part of the safari.

Additionally, the snowmobiles are insured. However, please note that the insurance comes with an excess of 1200€, which is the maximum amount you would be liable to pay in case of damage. You have the option to reduce this excess by paying an additional 20€ (non-refundable) per driver. By paying the 20€, the excess will be lowered from 1200€ to 500€

We accept Edenred, Epassi, and Smartum, as well as cash and all major credit cards
